If I give an assignment for homework and the homework comes back not done, the following will happen:
The student stays in for recess and/or after school to complete the incomplete work(We will call parents for permission to stay after school).
The student will also write parents a letter informing that they came to school without the homework done.
The student will take the letter home and get a parent signature. This way I know the parent is informed. The letter gets returned to me the following day.
If the letter is not returned to me the following day, the student loses recess.
If the letter is not returned to me the 2nd day, I will call the parent.
